What do you think it more important the over head shoulder press, or the bench press?

  1. belarusproductionscorp said: OHP is much harder to do and most people are weak on this due to weak shoulders and/or improper form. BP is less technical, just lay down on a bench + press! Both are good movements, however i think that doing a standing OHP uses more muscles then BP
  2. destructioninmotion said: I think over head shoulder press is more important. Why? I don’t know. It just FEELS more badass.
  3. warrior-fitness said: Functionally? It would be OHP.
  4. rippedfuel said: I tend to lean more toward Press as my preferred lift. Actually just any of the pressing over head - press/push press/push jerk/jerk really.
  5. knifehands said: Definitely depends on your goals, but I prefer to OHP. I find the lift more fun and has a very old school strongman feel to it. Nothing like lifting a ton of weight over your head.
  6. weaponxvii said: I guess it depends on your goals, kind of hard to answer when its two different muscles mainly being worked.
